Star-less

In Star-less, Maryam Takhtkeshian, a still photographer for Iranian cinema, turns her camera to the extras: the actors and actresses who wait for hours on set for a few seconds on screen, moments that may even be cut from the final film. Caught in costume between the world of cinema and their own lives, these nameless men and women give colour to stories that are never their own.
